Fireguards are needed all throughout this city.  You may have been here all your life, but the city is MUCH LARGER than you think and jobs are always hiring.  Just checking Craigslist time to time isn’t cutting it.  Asides, most training schools place their ads on there to LURE you in, we don’t do that.  Our job is to help turn you into a professional fireguard that will represent your company in the correct and efficient way.

Our job placement assistance program is not just limited to SECURITY, we have found that by attaining your fireguard license, you are able to work at various customer relations and lobby attendant positions, not always necessarily in the capacity of a security guard.

CLASSES

It is not easy having one of the highest passing rate in NY but our strategy has made it effective.  All classes are conducted in 3-person max setting with individualized training.  This way, students are able to actually get the information and understand at their own pace. All classes are held from 10am until 1pm, Monday through Saturday.

The TEST

The test is given by the Fire Department of New York and is conducted every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9am and the last test is conducted at 2 pm and costs a fee of $25 per test. The Test is conducted at 9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201. After the completion of the test, the FDNY will issue you a Certificate of Fitness also known as your Fireguard License.

Without a letter of recommendation from a firm, or company or training group (like ours) you will only receive a Certificate and no “license” with your picture in card form.  Huge difference. Believe us, you will want that card and not just the paper stating you passed. Jobs will not consider the paper, only the card, though both are deemed valid.

Again, you cannot get the fireguard license without a Letter of Recommendation.  Letter of Recommendation is earned from our company after class. We will train you properly to earn it.

Bring a no. 2 pencil and do not sleep late the night before your test. Bring your letter of recommendation we issued to you, along with 2 forms of identification and a $25 money order. Also, careful which test you take, do remember to take only the F-series which we prepared you for. This is YOUR test, not theirs so take what you studied for. Also, you should especially get your fireguard license BEFORE your security license. We say this in regards to your salary. By having a fireguard, you can command more money per hour than a licensed unarmed security guard with no fireguard. This means you can work in more sites and on more detail.

 

Expired Fireguard License

For expired fireguard licenses, if it is less than 6 months old, then you must pay $15 and fill out a renewal form.  If over this time and you currently hold the F-00 license, then you must re-take the exam.
